July 28, 200619 yr When I was in Junior High (I am now 22), I had a dream to become a stadium architect. We'll I downloaded Google Sketchup and messed around with it. Thought I would try building one of my ideas. Once I got it into Sketchup I had to make a few changes. I wanted to get your thoughts. It's a cross between Old tiger stadium, Fenway, Comiskey, The Jake, amongst others. I have yet to add the upper level. A few notes on the stadium: Left field wall is 15' tall with a 20' tall scoreboard. In left center, the blue area is windows for a field level resteraunt. The gray area behind the left field wall is a huge party deck. Right fields updeck over hangs by 10' (much like old tiger stadium). Dimensions: LF- 360 Left Center - 360 Center- 400 Right Center- 370 RF- 325 Edited July 30, 200619 yr by Athomeboy_2000

July 28, 200619 yr Thats really cool. I'm downloading this to see if it can help me out with my backyard plans.
July 28, 200619 yr Author QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Jul 28, 2006 -> 09:07 AM) Angles, distances, who cares? It has green seats. /debate over LMAO! I could have made them blue

July 29, 200619 yr 360 down the left-field line with a 15' wall??? No marquee left-handed hitter will want to play there. Otherwise, it's pretty nice. A bit angular, but nice. Edited July 29, 200619 yr by WCSox

July 30, 200619 yr A non-home run hitter would love to play in this park. A lot of ground for outfielders to cover = extra base hits and singles.

July 31, 200619 yr QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Jul 29, 2006 -> 04:07 PM) That's a good idea too. My attempt lasted about 3 1/2 minutes. Too confusing.
August 1, 200619 yr I'm not a fan, but thats just me. The outfield is too angular for my likes. Edited August 1, 200619 yr by Felix

I had the same dream as you, If i was bored, i would draw out stadium plans all the time. I saved some of my good ones. Thanks for showing this to me so i can get back to my dream. Try adding some windows to the final product. The outside looks bare, and is there any way to show us an angle from the outfield looking in?
August 1, 200619 yr I like it, but IMO I would add something behind the leftfield and centerfield fences, it just looks empty. Nice work though!
August 1, 200619 yr it looks alot like ameriquest field to me, escept for the angular outfield wall of course.
August 5, 200619 yr Author QUOTE(Random @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 10:38 PM) very nice! I see you got a chance to play with sketchup. Old dreams never die.
August 7, 200619 yr Where's the seats behind home, lower and upper deck? I like Random's for that reason...
August 7, 200619 yr QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 04:01 PM) Here's the FInal Product..... you need some bleacher seating behind the restaurant IMO.. stack it high like in Miller Park.
