August 17, 200619 yr QUOTE(chimpy2121 @ Aug 17, 2006 -> 02:47 PM) I heard Hawk say it was a sell out today too. 37,839 is the number I saw in the box score. Anyone know what the Sox need to average over the final remaining home games to reach 3 million? What about to break the old attendance record set in the early 90's?
August 17, 200619 yr We must average 39,299 to reach and just bump over 3 million btw. 17 home games left, highly unlikely we can average that.
August 17, 200619 yr The club attendance record is 2,934,154.....set in 1991 (first new at new joint). To break that, we must average 35,426 a game the rest of the way......I think that one is going to fall. EDIT: We averaged 36,224 per game that year, and this year our average is 36,436 as of now. So unless the average somehow goes down the rest of the way, we'll set the new club attendance record. Edited August 17, 200619 yr by whitesoxfan101

August 17, 200619 yr how about they keep winning and close the gap with the tigers by winning at least 7 out of these next 10! That should help sell tickets, this is a huge road trip!

August 18, 200619 yr The 37,839 fans at U.S. Cellular Field on Thursday composed the Sox 42nd sellout of the season and 22nd in a row http://www.post-trib.com/cgi-bin/pto-story...z1_spor_03.html
