September 5, 200619 yr Just hit his 45th homer of the season. He now has 45 long ones and 40 strikeouts. Only 10 times in ML history a player has ended up with more HR's than times struck out. Can he accomplish this feat? I say yes. Thoughts?
September 7, 200619 yr QUOTE(Felix @ Sep 5, 2006 -> 07:05 PM) Pujols is, by far, the best hitter in baseball. In other words, yes. Wouldn't disagree
September 7, 200619 yr QUOTE(Felix @ Sep 5, 2006 -> 07:05 PM) Pujols is, by far, the best hitter in baseball. In other words, yes. Duh! I think that he will hit more HR's then he will get K's.
September 7, 200619 yr Normally I'd say now because one bad day against a tough pitcher could ruin it on a day when he doesn't feel his best but he's made it so damn far and through such a debilitating injury for a slugger that I think he probably will do it now. It's a fun stat like when Schilling went for more wins than walks (came up short I believe). If I recall wasn't Joe D really good at this particular rate?
September 8, 200619 yr QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Sep 7, 2006 -> 06:10 PM) If I recall wasn't Joe D really good at this particular rate? Yeah, I'd say so... career homers- 361 career strikeouts- 369 He performed this feat 7 times in his career, and he actually finished one year with 30 homers and only 13 strikeouts.

Silva kind of did it I guess.. 9 wins and 9 walks. He would of easily beaten it if it wasnt for how horrible the twins offense was last year.
September 8, 200619 yr QUOTE(sayitaintso @ Sep 7, 2006 -> 05:53 PM) Duh! If you ask some people, they will claim its Ryan Howard, so I wouldn't exactly say 'duh'.
September 11, 200619 yr QUOTE(Felix @ Sep 5, 2006 -> 07:05 PM) Pujols is, by far, the best hitter in baseball. In other words, yes. Travis Hafner is just as good as Albert Pujols. Edited September 11, 200619 yr by MSHAWKS
September 11, 200619 yr QUOTE(MSHAWKS @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 07:51 PM) Travis Hafner is just as good as Albert Pujols. With a third of the hype
September 11, 200619 yr QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 08:05 PM) With a third of the hype If Hafner played for the Yankees or Red Sox Chris Berman would rub one off every night fantasizing about Pronk.

Albert wont come close ot that. He already has too many S.O. to overcome them with HR. career homers- 246 career strikeouts- 386

September 12, 200619 yr QUOTE(The Critic @ Sep 11, 2006 -> 08:53 PM) Thanks for the most disturbing imagery ever produced at this site. Berman tuggin' one out to Hafner..... That line barely scratches the depths of my mental disturbance.
