"So you're telling me there's a chance!" :bang

I know it's ova, but we have to make it fun for those who have tickets to this week's game. I was thinking about it as I couldn't sleep over Sox disappointment. The Wild Card is the target, 4.5 back of Minnesota. We have 9 games to make up at least 2 games on the Twins before we face them. Not impossible. Pitching is getting better, hitting sucks, but who knows. I'd at least like to see them go down with a fight

Grrrr, the Twins have to live up to their end of the deal :bang

another good game by freddy. you still want to get rid of this guy? if there is one guy to consider getting rid of it would have to be buerhle based on this season. he has been aweful. but i wouldnt even do that based on his awesome reputation to turn it around. i say keep the rotation as is and trade BMac in a package for a leadoff hitter.

i think if we have a chance its the tigers......we are 5 back and if we win tomm thats only 4......then they go on the road for 4 while we home for 4... you never know

Tonight again shows how good we are ... on a given night.

We can't string it together tho, as we will show again in coming days.

We is toast.

So instead of trading Garcia, who has b****ed about the offense in a game in which he gave up 5 runs and has lost his stuff, you want to trade Buehrle, who has been Mr. White Sox for about the past 5 years and has been with this team through the thick and thin of the 21st century?

Loyalty is a two way street. Show Buehrle some love before cutting the strings. Garcia does not deserve the same respect Buehrle does.

Garcia putting together good outing after good outing only increases his trade value. That is good

Um how many runs did we score on homers?

a team that has a percentage as high as we do WILL NOT go to, or win in the playoffs

The White Sox hit 200 homers as a team last year and scored 741 runs. That looks better than a 25% of the runs off of home runs, and that is just pretending that all those 200 were solo shots.

You are wrong.

its not over... but its not looking good.... If we win this next game and than pickup at least 1-2 games the next series on the Tigers I might become a believer again.

To have a chance, the Sox would have to beat Detroit again, sweep Seattle, take 2 of 3 from Cleveland, and take 2 fo 3 from Minnesota. That would be 9-2 in their next 11.

At the same time Detroit would have to lose to the Sox, lose 3 of 4 of their away games, lose 2 of 3 vs Toronto, and lose 2 of 3 vs KC. That would be 3-8 in their next 11. They could win one more if Minnesota overtook them for the Division and go 4-7.

For Minnesota, for the Sox to catch them, they would need to lose the next 2 vs Boston, drop 1 of 3 at Baltimore, split with KC 2 and 2, then drop 2 of 3 to the Sox. That would make them 5-7 in their last 12, and put them in a tie. That would be going 4-5 before the Sox series. The Sox would have to go 7-1 before that series.

Everything is still possible, but unless the Sox catch fire and rattle off about 5-6 in a row and the Twins or Tigers drop 4-5 in a row, the Sox are toast.
