G&T
KW still likes the core of the team, but they sputtered through the season. Only tweaking needed. He will talk to Ozzie about the subbing, but he is commited to playing the entire roster so they can win with the bench. It worked last year and overall he makes the right moves. Nobody was just going through the motions, these are high character guys. Some guys might have minor injuries that nobody knows about and that can cause them to look like they aren't trying. (No names) Late season problems are an issue that comes up every year for this team, and he knows that. If this team played decent, they would have won 100 games. The entire team needs to be assessed and upgrades will be considered, but speed is not easy to come by (Pods). Uribe is a great talent and he can hit with RISP. But the numbers don't matter as much as getting the right players to fit the team and make them complete. They don't want to make moves that will make them worse. There are no favorites on this team. They have let major players go and sentimentality won't be a part of it. He's happy about Frank, and thinks it probably has to do with all the things that came out. Franks a good guy. KW can't watch the playoffs without being sick BMac and all the young guys will have the full oportunities to be on the team. Nothing is guarantee. Rob Mackowiac played too much center. They feel like they let the fans down after all the great things everyone said last year, and he's sick. _____ Obviously there's only so much he can say about players right now obviously. He sounded pissed, to be honest.
Heads22
QUOTE(G&T @ Oct 2, 2006 -> 09:45 AM) Rob Mackowiac played too much center. Imagine that.
RME JICO
KW is definitely not going to show his hand. I found this one be interesting: There are no favorites on this team. They have let major players go and sentimentality won't be a part of it. Boone Logan perhaps?
nitetrain8601
QUOTE(RME JICO @ Oct 2, 2006 -> 10:52 AM) KW is definitely not going to show his hand. I found this one be interesting: Boone Logan perhaps? Well he did let Jeff Bajanaru go in ST.
