Is this actually a question? Do I want AAAA slugger or a GG defensive CF with a solid bat in his rookie year? Tough question... :bang

Borchard ABs 230 OBP .322 OPS .722

Ave .230 HRs 10 RBI 28 Ks 66

Ok so Borchard had 2/3r the at bats Anderson had.

Anderson ABs 365 OBP .290 OPS .649

Ave .225 HRs 8 RBI 33 Ks 90

Anderson solid with the bat? :bang :drink :chair

As I see it right now BA barely has a AAA bat. BA does play good defense but it wasn't even enough to play CF full time over a career utility player.

The hell what I was thinking?

Ya, Anderson was horrible with the bat, but he has 20+ homer potential along with the ability to hit .275. Basically, Torii Hunter.

If Borchard becomes Russell Branyan, I'm sure someone will be absolutely delighted.

I thought part of the reason they unloaded Freddy in the 1st place is they had gotten tired of his partying?

Maybe, but his impending free agency certainly had more to do with it.

You can say Anderson was competent or mediocre or good-enough-for-a-rookie, but you cannot say he was solid with the bat. Seriously.

The only thing you could say is awful or brutal or terrible because anything less would be far too nice and a big fat lie (I don't care what his latter splits said because he was still an awful hitter with some serious holes in his swing).

Defensively he was a stud, but later in the year his defense wasn't as good.

Ichiro would be a DREAM as our leadoff hitter. I have thought that for at least a year.

I can't imagine what he would cost, though. Seeing that he's their #1.

If we could get him, hell yeah. But I can't imagine what we'd have to give up to do that.

Please for God's sake do not judge Brian Anderson's performance based entirely on Ozzie Guillen's decision making.

How about we trade freddy to the M's for Reed, Morse, and a prospect. We then ship that prospect to Florida for Olivo. :P

Miguel Olivo would be the ideal back-up for this team.
