Barry Bonds and the Giants have reportedly agreed to terms on a one-year, $16 million contract.

 

It seemed certain to happen sooner or later, and though we thought the Giants would try to force a bigger pay cut than this, it's a fair salary for Bonds in this market. With Bonds back, the Giants can now try to do something to patch up what a rather ugly pitching staff. Even if Bonds plays in 130 games, the team isn't going to contend without adding another quality starter or two.

Bonds has made the Giants a lot of money. I really don't have a problem with HIS salary, "extra-curricular activites" aside.
