ESPN invests in Arena Football League....

I don't think this is a bad thing. The AFL has always seemed interesting, and I think it could be an interesting watch.

I was just about to agree with you, but then I remembered how second-rate and dull it is.

I'll watch it........if there's nothing else on.

kind of my reaction. If there's nothing else on, I'll check it out, but not appointment TV for me

I'm even further on the spectrum. I just can't watch it. I don't think I've ever finished watching a single game, even when I didn't have cable, so it was basically NBC, ABC, CBS, Fox, PBS, and WB, and nothing else. I'd finish watching something, AFL would come on, and I'd prefer to read a magazine after a few minutes. Or re-read, whatever.

More fun in person anyway.

I have issues with Media outlets owning or investing in teams or leagues.

as do I, especially since ESPN won't run commercials for things they don't have money invested in... This is why there aren't any UFC commercials on ESPN, ESPN doesn't have money in MMA

like hell it is, poker >>>>>>>> AFL

The network will have a regular Monday night slot in which it will televise 14 games from March through June. The ArenaBowl title game in New Orleans will be July 29 on ABC, which also will show two regional season openers March 4 on Sunday afternoon.

So they are going to televise these games during March Madness, the NBA playoffs, and the NHL playoffs. Great move.

hey, Chicago is defending champs, nobody else went out and rioted because of that?
