I don't understand this "if our pitching can return to 2005 form" argument. This is akin to saying "well, if we could just get career years out of four starters and most of the bullpen at the same time again, we'd be alright"

So they don't pitch in 2006 form. No big deal.

Afterall, 4 of the Sox starters pitched over their career ERAs last year (though Garland was right around his average year of mediocrity with more wins than usual). So basically, if they pitch at or around their career norms, they'll be fine. If they can pitch better, all the better.

Our division. ...

Tigers are tops unless the tired factor hits them as it supposedly hit us. They are tired for playing

2 weeks longer than we did.

Cleveland is still a threat. The Tribe may be back. Arguably the Tribe has as good a team on paper

as our Sox do.

Minnesota is always up there. You'd think the loss of Johann would cost 'em though.

KC is still KC though it's not good that the Royals play us about even every year.

Unless Kenny Rogers starts to suck I think Det wins the division and you know how tough it is

to get the wildcard in the tough A.L.

We're hosed.

KC played us tough last year, but in 2005 we won the first 11 or so games against them. And when did Minnesota lose Johan?

I'm positive he meant Liriano.

I think it's going to be a great division with terrific battles and many lead changes throughout the season between Sox, kitties, tribe and twins. Best division in all of baseball, hands down.
