March 25, 200719 yr At Toyota Park (in Bridgeview) on July 28 is the second 'Crossroads' tour headlined by Clapton. I don't believe tickets go on sale until March 31. Several quality performers: Eric Clapton Steve Winwood BB King Willie Nelson Jeff Beck Vince Gil Sheryl Crow Buddy Guy John Mayer Other artists will be announced at a late day. $90 for tickets, but free for me because there's no way I'm avoiding work on this day.

August 2, 200718 yr QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jul 29, 2007 -> 08:37 PM) It was phenomenal. Best concert I've ever seen. Anyone else attend? I did not and I'm jealous of anyone who did. However because the internet rocks, I was able to watch it: http://music.msn.com/crossroads?silentchk=1& "Sweet Home Chicago" looked ridiculous. (a) who was that guy who could barely stand and (B) how did they get all those guys to play at the same time without it sounding like garbage? I was impressed.

Are Winwood, Nelson, Gil, Crow and Mayer guitar legends?? I'm gonna go with hell no, but I guess they had to sell tix somehow.

Just for note, whomever was Jeff Beck's bass guitarist (I'm guessing his daughter) was unbelievable. She can't be more than 15 or 16 years old.

Just because at times the guy is trying his hardest to sound like Stevie Ray Vaughn doesn't mean he's succeding.
