Chester Frazier's Father passes away

Featured Replies

I guess it happened last night, according to the illiniboard. Thoughts and prayers to the kid and his family, that's horrible news to hear. :(

Wow, thoughts and prayers with Chester.

That's horrible. He's had to suffer through a lot this year. I hope the team rallies around him. Thoughts and prayers, Chester.

Nah, that was Jamar. Chester is his roommate, and might have known about the accident at some point. But that's more speculation and hearsay.

I pulled my original quote....Sorry for the confusion, Chester seems like just a hard working, no nonsense kid.

Yeah, he is the definition of energy off the bench, solid reserve point guard. If McCamey is as good as advertised (a la can start next year), I think Chet will have a great season, assuming that is he doesn't transfer due to the grief he's going through, which is possible based on hearsay (and if he were to go back closer to home, I'd have a hard time blaming him).

Terrible news, all the best to chester and his family.

the kid went through a lot this year. tons of injuries and having a dad suffering from terminal cancer is just brutal.

still he played with a lot of guts and heart and when he played you knew what you were getting. he can play on my squad any day.

I think he'll remain at UIUC now. Best wishes to him....he's one of the guys on the team that actually seems to appreciate the opportunity he has.
