April 7, 200719 yr My bold prediction: Dewon Day is on the White Sox major leaguer roster before August.
April 7, 200719 yr QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Apr 6, 2007 -> 11:27 PM) My bold prediction: Dewon Day is on the White Sox major leaguer roster before August. In place of who...?
April 7, 200719 yr QUOTE(BearSox @ Apr 6, 2007 -> 11:28 PM) In place of who...? Could need a 7th bullpen arm down the stretch, or Sisco just blows and Dewon's slider makes him effective against lefties. Trust me if puts up the numbers, he will be there. Oz and KW have said our pitchers will have short leaches. Also, can't count out the possibility of a MacDougal injury with his history. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 6, 2007 -> 11:32 PM) Kanekoa is my man. Best slider in the ogranization according to BA (well really Phil Rogers) and when you annoint someone that honor with Dewon Day's in the organization, that's something. BTW, Day has a plus-plus slider according to scouts, which translates to a 70 rating on the scale, which means its an all-star level pitch. 80 is the best, but those are reserved for the special like Mo's cutter or RJs slider (when in prime.)

April 7, 200719 yr QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Apr 6, 2007 -> 11:27 PM) My bold prediction: Dewon Day is on the White Sox major leaguer roster before August. That's extremely bold considering the guy has never really had his control under control. Obviously he has had injury problems, but his numbers have been far from dazzling. His K numbers have been very good, but that's about it. Last year he was good, but not great. I just don't see any reason to see him blow through 2 levels that quickly, though there is a shot he gets promoted straight from AA.

Scary thought...short leaches? Maybe that will really intimidate the pen! Another Blown Save and Thornton must have short leaches attached to him for no less than one hour for a thorough bloodletting.
April 7, 200719 yr Two homers given up by Haeger is pretty crazy considering he averages about six per season.
April 7, 200719 yr QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 7, 2007 -> 12:19 AM) Let's combine the five. Pretty tough to cut up 5 different people, and sew them back together as one... 2 or 3 people, now thats a different story.
