I just can't get past the fact that the Cubs (and other teams) have banned the booze in the clubhouse, but you can get as blasted as you want in the stands. Obviously these teams don't give a rats booty about their fans. Right?

great point.

Players shouldn't get free beer, but I have no problem players bringing their own in for after the game.

Dont all the other major sporting leagues ban alcohol in the locker room?

I would vote 'no' for alcohol in the clubhouse

But the "turbo fueled speed coffee" is acceptable.

The teams can do whatever they want, but be ready to be sued for it.

HEROIN FOR ALL!!!

Most businesses have banned alcohol from company facilities. They have also stopped their sales forces from drinking at lunch. I remember turning in expense reports for multiple thousands and much of that was alcohol fueled parties.

I don't have a problem with an alcohol free clubhouse. They are athletes after all. Shouldn't they be setting a good example for the youngins? They can pour N/A over their heads.
