August 3, 200718 yr Pure power prospect sits down with FutureSox Interview conducted by Blake Simon Chris Carter was drafted in the 15th round in the 2005 amateur draft out of a high school in Nevada. Since signing with the Sox, he has proven to be a huge power threat in both Great Falls last year and again this year in Kannapolis, where he is currently leading the South Atlantic League in home runs at 22 to go along with a .291 average. Carter took some time out of his schedule and answered some questions asked by Sox fans and provided by FutureSox.com: Your team at Sierra Vista High School in Las Vegas was very good, and you put up some very impressive numbers; however, since turning professional, you’ve started to hit for more power. What have you been doing differently at the plate to hit for such power? Nothing really, I’ve just gotten bigger and stronger over the last year. What are some of the key aspects of the game that you are still working on with the coaches? They’ve been working a lot with me on my fielding and defense at 1B. I’m trying to stop making mistakes and starting to be in the right place at the right time... http://www.futuresox.com/frontpage/modules...cle&sid=504
