July 2, 200322 yr As much as I love Cotts, he was coming back from an injury and he was our main trade bait! He was pretty much gonna go no matter what! If we give up Neil Cotts, I'll be ticked, would of much rather gave them Jon Rauch. Plus Rauch is more major league ready for the Rangers or thats what I'd sell them.

July 2, 200322 yr If we give up Neil Cotts, I'll be ticked, would of much rather gave them Jon Rauch. Plus Rauch is more major league ready for the Rangers or thats what I'd sell them. One thing you have to look at is which pitcher would have the best stuff for the ball park in Arlington. Meaning if one was a ground ball pitcher he would be a better fit than a fly ball pitcher. I don't know what either does, but if Rauch is a fly ball pitcher and Cotts isn't then I would expect Cotts to be the one traded.

July 2, 200322 yr Whether the players like Carl personally or not is a non-issue. Have any of them been on the same team with him besides possiby Daubach? I hope they can bring him into the clubhouse and let him catch the playoff berth searching fever I hope they all are catching at this time.
