July 2, 200322 yr Let's just pretend that we want to trade Cotts and whoever these other two prospects are, and we go to every other team in the majors, don't you think that we could get more than Carl Everett for them? I remember all those incidents with Manager Jimy Williams in Boston. The guy was a jerk. This makes the earlier trade look good.

I was listening to sports radio on my way home from work today and they were talking about Everett at that time and said that very few players ever had a problem with him, it was mostly a media not liking him at all issue, something about religious beleifs and such. I didn't catch all of it - the tri-state had a good deal of my attention at the time.

Others may not have thought we needed to make another trade. Yep, anyone with a brain could eliminate any of those as possibilites. You're right.
