The crazy thing is if he were to figure out how to bunt well, and hit for a tiny bit of power, the open market value for those numbers would be in that neighborhood. Look at what Juan Pierre got. Heck if Owens got into the .300 ba, .360 op%, and stole something like 70-80 bases, it is a realistic number.

 

Will that really happen, probably not, but it isn't superfar fetched. If the kid learned how to get down a bunt, he would add 30 points to his average over night.

His bunting has gotten better. He had a few good ones late in the season.

 

But he needs to hit a few doubles and triples.
