Haunted Houses

Featured Replies

I personally love going to haunted houses. Does anyone else go? Which ones? What did you think.

Im planning on hitting up Dream Reapers in Melrose park in the next few nights.

Ya, I have a lot of fun going to Haunted Houses. Haven't been to any this year but as a kid it was always awesome. I even ran a couple Charity Haunted Houses when in high school.

I'm thinking this year I'm going to go to the Queen Mary's haunted house thing they do in October (should be cool considering the Queen Mary is haunted as is).

There was a couple of good ones I would go to while I lived in Southern Illinois. There is an abandoned Animal Hospital that was always fun.

I stopped going to most advertised haunted houses because there is no thrill for me. I dont like the idea of walking in one big line and seeing whats happening in front of me before I get to it

I actually hate them. Stand outside, freezing my butt of for an hour or so just to walk around in the dark while some idiot jumps out yelling "YARGH!!!"? I'll pass. Not worth the time, cold, or money.

We went to Hades one year, due to it being inside, and it was soooo boring.

I was at one when I was a kid and a monster or something grabbed me. Never been since. I'm not much of a Halloween person anyway.

Ummm...you know there's no such thing as monsters, right?

There was one near Brookfield Zoo. It was tremendous. It was more of set up scenes and such. it was something called Elysium, or along those lines. The old building they ran it out of was being torn down so they stopped running it. At the end they had a great effect of a semi crashing through the wall. Lines would be like 2-3 hours on weekends. Since that one, I don't like going anymore

There used to be a TON of good ones around Rockford but nobody does them anymore. It used to be a birthday tradition for me and my family to go out and hit as many haunted houses as we could in one night.

This year I only saw an advertisement for ONE haunted house. I remember times there were 5 or 6 in town.

I guess it's not really a bad thing because as I've gotten older they've gotten more lame. I don't know if it's because I got older or if they just quit trying as hard. Plus a $10 a person it starts to get a little pricey.

Do they still have the one out at Lockwood park?

I find it odd that a guy with green skin and one eye would be trying to convince somebody that there are no monsters.

I don't think so.

I voluntered for one in NY. Its called spooky walk at a camp, and each cabin had a different theme. I was in the House of the Living Dead cabin.
