some goof on the MLB board is claiming ESPN is reporting we are trading for Tejada - someone in Chicago listening and can shed some light on this?

Someone said earlier that Mac, Yurko, and Harry claimed there was some talk about it.

 

There are so many rumors floating around right now, it's not even funny.

 

Ponson for Konerko is the only one I see happening.

If we trade for Tejada, it better be because we are going to sign him to a long term deal. Otherwise, I want no part of a rental deal in which we would most likely be forced to give up guys like Honel, Cotts and Reed.

Why would anyone want any part of a deal for Tejada?

I want Tejada on this team but he needs to come here for unknow prospects instead great prospects like Cott, Honel...btw Jose is playing very well lately. Ponson for Konerko i will do it in a hurry. We have Carl and Daubach in the DH and we can be better defensevely with Willie in CF agst RH and Aaron agst LH.

I know I don't watch much A's baseball. However, I could've swore Tejada was the AL MVP, and a guy who if he played at the Cell would be a stud. Yet I don't want any part of this?

Let me give everyone some free advice. All of this is bull. If and or when a trade happens, have a feeling about it at that time.

Apparently we're not talking about the same player... I'm talking about the player who's OPS is .746 (32 points under our everyday shortstop.

So we trade Honel, Cotts, and lets say Borchard for Tejada. He plays 90 games for us, we let him go so we can get draft picks? wtf? Why bother in the first place?

I'm with you White Sox fan. IMHO also, SS is not one of our weaknesses. Crede's bat is one weakness. A 5th starter is another weakness.
