It is a little confusing. As I read it one of the children was ill and brought to the hospital. That child, was the product of the father-daughter. The daughter was the child of the father and wife. When he brought her to the hospital he claimed, accurately, he was the grandfather. Test revealed he was also the father. That child's mother was his daughter. Any clearer?
