You keep repeating his pitching line as if it matters. The game was tied when he left. Masset had nothing to do with the loss.

April 30, 200817 yr Masset wasn't bad...but he wasn't good. However, when your pitching gives up 4 runs, you should still be able to win.
April 30, 200817 yr It was a spot start, Masset wasn't stretched out to give 6 innings and pitched pretty solidly over 4 innings. He definately kept the club in the game and showed some pretty good stuff (as well as some poor command). The defense didn't help him either as he could have given up one less run with just a tad bit of help.

I had realistic expectations of his start, 4-5 innings, keep the team in the game, which he did. it was a spot start, he isnt in the rotation
