Whats the point in having both Ozuna and Ramirez?

Both players are just about the same. They both can play in the infield and outfield but I would give the nod to Ramirez. Both really cant hit and both are right handed. Why not just send Ramirez down since he's got the bigger upside and could use the everyday ABs.

This team needs a lefty off the bench bad.Only person I can think of off the top of my head is Lofton. He can he a PH and take over the pinch running duties too.

Maybe the Sox have cooled on the Jerry Owens thing for awhile. He is fighting abig slump at AAA. I was thinking the same thing though about Ramirez and Ozuna. They both fill the same role, but Ramirez I still think needs more seasoning and should be playing at AAA. Maybe Jim Edmonds should be signed?

Signing a backup outfielder does not make this team better. The biggest reason why Ozuna and Ramirez are both on this team is that they can both back up the infield positions. With Crede's back issues and Uribe's usual performance issues and Cabrera's this year suckitude, we need more depth in the IF than the OF.

The day Danny Richar gets healthy will be a joyous one.

Ozuna plays 2B/SS/3B/LF, he's a veteran, he has hit in the past, he's under contract cheap enough as a backup.

Ramirez plays 2B/SS/CF, he's unproven, he hasn't hit much yet, he's under a long term deal.

Both have their places as utility guys.

Owens wouldn't be much better than either of them.

Ramirez will go to AAA when Richar's healthy -- most likely.
