May 22, 200817 yr Background: If the Sox win 10 games in a row, CTL's Dave Kaplan (and Nick Swisher) apparently will dye their hair pink. It started as an offhanded comment around the time of the pink bats and chia chins. But now it's snowballing and apparently they are making preparations to really do it and have a charity tie in. That said, when asked yesterday if he was rooting against the Sox for one of these next games, he pretty much yelled, "YES!" Which leads me to believe he's a Cub fan (if not another team).... and thus it will be pretty hilarious to (hopefully) watch him do one episode of CTL with pink hair.

I knew Kaplan at NIU years ago. Yes, he is very Cubbied up. As for the pink hair thing, he doesn't have much hair regardless!

Did you ever consider the fact that he just dosen't want to dye his hair pink?
May 22, 200817 yr QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ May 22, 2008 -> 04:48 PM) Kaplan has admitted on CTL that he is a Cub fan. And he used to admit it on sports central as well.
May 22, 200817 yr Author QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 22, 2008 -> 03:36 PM) Did you ever consider the fact that he just dosen't want to dye his hair pink? but, i mean, it doesnt sound the kind of bet a Sox fan would make. Or even say offhandedly. Would you bet against your beloved team in any context? It looks like a few posters here are confirming this suspicion anyway.
May 22, 200817 yr He comes in my car wash. I had know idea what he looked like but knew his name. I was pulling his car around and he had a ton of Cub stuff in his car. I made a joke like " I almost got sick driving your car around with all that Cub stuff in it" He laughed and said, do you know who I am. We got a great laugh out of it and he showed me a pic of his kid with Ozzie and his kid was wearing a Cub shirt. He said he loves Oz, and he gave it to his kid for the shirt. He also said it funny that he comes to my wash because of all the Sox stuff I have in my wash. Jay Marriotti also come in, I want to put a Sox magnet on car and take a pic.

May 23, 200817 yr He's a real nice guy, but definitely a huge Cubbie fan. Him losing a Sox bet/with pink hair would be just golden. Edited May 23, 200817 yr by whitesoxfan101
May 23, 200817 yr I wish Swisher would start getting some f***ing hits and stop worrying about the color of his hair.
May 23, 200817 yr Im pretty sure that Kaplan did or still does the Cubs pregame on WGN radio, its no secret that he is a Cubs fan. I have to say though, these two are going to have some "wash right out" dye in their hair that day, I dont think Comcast or the Chicago tribune are too hip on letting the host of their show "Chicago Tribune Live" sport a pink hairdo for very long.

May 24, 200817 yr When I saw OPRF play Waukegan, Kaplan's antics with Jereme Richmond's father were embarrassing. You would have thought Richmond's dad was the President of the United States with how much ass-kissing was going on.
