October 10, 200817 yr QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 10, 2008 -> 05:19 PM) It's not like the Cup doesn't have a base on it or anything... And f***ing upside-down writing all over it!!!
October 11, 200817 yr QUOTE (Gage Loves Me @ Oct 10, 2008 -> 09:08 PM) Wooooooooooooooo Dubinsky is a beast. Yes he is!
October 11, 200817 yr Author Dubinsky is the most underrated young stud in hockey. All the attention goes to guys like Price, Ovechkin, Malkin, Crosby, Kane, Toews, Mike Green, etc., yet Dubinsky is ridiculously good. Huet looked awful tonight. Hopefully it was first game with a new team jitters.
October 11, 200817 yr QUOTE (That funky motion @ Oct 10, 2008 -> 06:51 PM) Yes he is! Love that sig. Staal is another one I wanna sex up.
October 11, 200817 yr QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Oct 10, 2008 -> 10:01 PM) Dubinsky is the most underrated young stud in hockey. All the attention goes to guys like Price, Ovechkin, Malkin, Crosby, Kane, Toews, Mike Green, etc., yet Dubinsky is ridiculously good. Huet looked awful tonight. Hopefully it was first game with a new team jitters. To be fair one of the goals was off of a terrible turnover in the Hawks own end. Let's hope they play a little more relaxed tomorrow against the Caps.
October 11, 200817 yr Huet looked bad on two of the Rangers' goals, but almost everyone looked bad last night. To me, Campbell looked good, Kane had some moments and everyone else looked pretty bad. With the exception of one shift, there was no offensive flow whatsoever. I hope it was opening night jitters, but I expect to see Khabibulin in goal tonight.
October 11, 200817 yr QUOTE (The Critic @ Oct 11, 2008 -> 06:23 AM) I hope it was opening night jitters, but I expect to see Khabibulin in goal tonight. There's no way Huet doesn't start against his former team.
October 11, 200817 yr QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 11, 2008 -> 09:30 AM) There's no way Huet doesn't start against his former team. I'd think that was true, too, but Savard didn't commit to Huet starting tonight, and as we know, his decisions are not ALWAYS based on logic and reason.
October 11, 200817 yr I think the Hawks looked great in the 1st but couldn't find the back of the net. Shot wide way to much.
October 11, 200817 yr QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 11, 2008 -> 09:30 AM) There's no way Huet doesn't start against his former team. You were saying? I'm sure we'll hear the "back-to-back nights" and the "keeping both guys fresh" reasons, but I think Savard just didn't like the softies and wanted to change goalies.
October 11, 200817 yr The picture on WGN looks quite beautiful, by the way. Bright and clear HD broadcast, much better than Comcast SportsNet for sure.
October 11, 200817 yr Fantastic save by Theodore on Sharp. (Yeah, I'm talking to myself right now, I don't care.... )
October 11, 200817 yr QUOTE (The Critic @ Oct 11, 2008 -> 06:16 PM) The picture on WGN looks quite beautiful, by the way. Bright and clear HD broadcast, much better than Comcast SportsNet for sure. Agreed. I don't watch much hockey but looks the best in HD than any other sport.
October 11, 200817 yr HORRIBLE attempt at a shift change leads to a Washington goal. Kevyn Adams had two attempts to clear the puck down from the bench area and couldn't. 2-1 Hawks.
October 12, 200817 yr The Hawks are scrambling and kind of panicking now. Too many men on the ice penalty - the Craps go to the power play.
October 12, 200817 yr Well, I guess Bulin is starting. Brilliant. He's actually been pretty good thus far, though he's gotta cover the 5-hole on that Ovechkin skipper. Hawks need to get out of this period tied and they'll be alright.
October 12, 200817 yr The puck is bouncing all over the damn place tonight. They need to get that s*** under control in Washington.
October 12, 200817 yr Skille's tempo is ridiculous. If he plays like this all year, watch out. NOTE: The Hawks are still a bad faceoff team. This is going to hurt us this year. Edited October 12, 200817 yr by Steve9347
