If he is healthy this is great news!

If he is healthy and pitches well this could be huge. Like really huge.

If he can do the job it would obviously make our bullpen stronger for this stretch run. It should help Dotel especially and if MacDougal can help it would be a real plus

We'll see him eased into things but if the Sox are going to go anywhere in the playoffs, they will need to have Linebrink healthy (and possibly Mac productive).

They have already said that his first couple/few pitching appearences will be in blowouts or garbage time.

Nice! From what Ozzie was saying earlier, it sounded like he wouldn't be available until October.

 

It's going to be interesting to see him pitch, as it sounds like his fastball is in the mid 80s right now.

In the articles I read (Trib and SunTimes), it seemed that he was struggling with command, but I didn't see any mention of speed.
