Sox @ Indians 9-3-08

Featured Replies

I think not breaking up the line-up with a token LHH actually hurts.

Thome hitting third today would have been nice. Maybe Josh can build up his trade value.

Alexei grounds weakly to the pitcher. Our offense once we get men on is getting comical.

Any chance the Indians don't score now this inning?

Thats the way to blow a scoring opportunity. That was pathetic all around

very little chance they don't, and probably be a similar thing where a leadoff walk scores

Well, at least that can't happen

Who was the last SOx pitcher to go 8 innings and who was the last to throw a complete game.

Vazquez has averged 4 strikes and 6 pitches per batter through 3 innings. At this rate he will not make it through 6.

Well at least Linebrink can get some work in as CY Sowers shouldn't allow much.

Hawk always says how Javy can pitch 150, blah, blah, etc... today they might have to test that

haha that first pitch was a stirke? these last two games have been so horrendously umpired

javy looks filthy btw

who is this bum Sowers and why are we batting against him like he's CC Sabathia?

i get the feeling TCQ might be hurt worse than I thought.

I just get the feeling Ozzie is way over protective of him to the point that he will sit him out during the pennant chase.

And he's right. Javy is one of the few out there you don't have to worry about the pitch count with.

Pull up the Tampa game log from 8/23. This game is looking like a mirror image for him although the offense....well at least Dye showed up for a brief moment that day. That series seems to have killed this offense.

Good job Javy, nice 1-2-3 after the offensive stiffs for you

I agree, he seems to, he has to pitch deep if he's still effective, and if there's a jam, I don't give a rat's ass what inning it is in, Jenks should come in

I predict another scoreless inning for our offense here....(please prove me wrong!)

rackalicious

Swisher-Uribe-Fields

Looks like we'll go to the bottom of 5.....scoreless.

Swisher Homer!!!!! 1-0.

swish

It's like every last 1/4 of the season from the past 6 years or so. What do we have, like one homer in the last week?

He killed that.

Thank you Nick, now let's get on board and remind Sowers about his +5.00 ERA

500 feet?
