So, with Alexei, he's obviously had a great rookie season so far, but what do you do in ST with him? I agree with Hawk that you have him steal every single time he is on 1st to see if he can get the feel, but do you encourage him to take more pitches?

He has done that several times this year.

i like swisher, his average leaves something to be desired, but in terms of getting on base hes about as good as they come (especially considering his batting average is so low, mainly due to a fairly low BABIP), and he also sees more pitches per plate appearance than anyone in baseball by a significant margin....its too bad we have him hitting in front of uribe most games because if we swapped him and AJ he'd be on base for the big boppers and allow them to see more of the pitchers pitches...
