just to elaborate also...the difference between #1 swisher and #2 adam dunn in pitches/plate appearance is equal to the difference between #2 adam dunn and #13 mark reynolds

In May some time my brothers-in-law were ravinga bout how Fukodome was leading the league by a large margin. Now he can't even crack the starting line-up at $12M a year.

good inning in tacking on 2 more, hopefully Javy keeps rolling

QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 12:52 PM)
Swisher tried to walk on ball 3.

Hawk and DJ were saying that if it was AJ, he would have convinced the umps that it actually was ball 4...

Doug Eddings probably would have went for it

leadoff single

Good one and true too

eh, Javy seems to be all over the place

Why can't they just make it easy and continue to roll along. The starters need to go deeper into games. Javy will be luck to get through 6 today.

this is javy's game to lose, leave him out there

ah, Sizemore double, 2nd and 3rd no out, time to limit damage here

was that a bunt attempt? Gamecast just says groundout to pitcher

no

Nice K Javy, one more out

woo

no

so that seems like a productive AB, swing at the first pitch of a pitcher who has been a little wild and ground out to the catcher... maybe KW can sign him for next year

4-2.

well that sucks.

can someone figure out what this riddle might be referring to?

Four score and seven years ago,

Now that's a really long time!

Like that which was created so long ago;

Such as when Mercury was on a dime.

Now the lucky guy married a girl who was gorgeous;

In the movie they were seeking a yank.

Counting the days should have really been letters.

The actor's name easily rhymes with thanks.

darnit, so close to getting out of it, double, 4-2 Sox

6th inning Javy.

2 outs and 2 strikes on the hitter and he can't put him away. Sad lament

OK, 3 outs, 4-2 Sox, let's go offense, get them back and then some more

QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 06:08 PM)
6th inning Javy.

It looked like he was dealing at 95-96 MPH too and couldn't get it done. At least he gets the choo-choo out for the third out

As good as an outing that it may have been he really needs to consistently pitch well throughout hte game. The bullpen still needs to get nine outs. It would be nice for the offense to continue hitting.

Thome should pinch hit for Fields here.

Is there a third catcher on the team? Would like to see AJ hit here.

They will come in later in the game and a LOOGY will get them out.

Edited by Jenks Heat

We need some insurance runs here, with the way Javy pitched last inning and they way our bullpen has been, not sure if 4 runs will be enough to win...
