some of the responses in this thread lead me to believe that they just can't believe we lost the game.

there was a rather huge chance of us losing this game, probably 60-65% chance

They lost 3-2, you act as if it was a blowout. Your probability figures are ridiculous

Who said we had a great chance of winning? I saw plenty of people who said there was a chance and to not count it as a loss, but I dont recall anyone saying it was in the bag as if it was an easy W

There is never a "great chance", but there is always a "chance". We played well. I thought the turning point was leaving H Ramirez in to start the 8th. Even ole Buck Martinez thought he was in to face one batter, who he got out. I did not expect him to be out there to satrt the next inning. No mater we had a chance and Frankie Rodriguez beat Swisher to end it. I would have liked to see Mr Swish at least swing at one though.

Your opinion of my probability figures is ridiculous!

:)

And I never once stated anything in relation to the game being predicted as a blowout, I simply stated that the odds were not in our favor of winning, in fact they were largely in the angels favor. The fact that we kept the game close should be enough for anyone.

Great weekend! Go Bears

Twins lose. Magic number is at 18.

Swisher f***ed himself. I can't believe anyone would defend him. Dye got f***ed, Swisher f***ed himself.

I'll gladly defend the guy. He has the best batter's eye on the team and those two called strikes were low and inside. What the f*** was he supposed to do with those pitches? Get a grip.

You're freaking crazy. He looked at strike 3 for christ's sake and your defending him?

Swisher does not have the best eye on the team. He might be the most patient, but he looks at WAY too many strikes.

I have a grip. I'm not even mad about losing, as we took 2 of 3 from a good team. But, Swisher is a jackass for not swinging at a single pitch. That is inexcusable. Maybe he should have danced around the batter's box and the umpire would have awarded him first base. I mean, the only thing better than his eye is his hilarious antics in the dugout.

Swisher didn't swing because he was fooled by the movement of the pitches, not because they were actually balls.

Thank you.

If it were so easy, we'd all be professional ball players, I guess.
