July 10, 200322 yr Ooh part of me hopes Rick White dominates and Danny has a rough outing. That could put Danny in the bullpen where alot of us have said he should have a chance. I know this will never happen and we are prolly gonna lose all 4 games anyways with this sore-ass offense but hey, it could happen. mcworld

July 10, 200322 yr I like Rick White and Danny Wright too. Part of me thinks that Rick W should be left in the bullpen and let's bring up some guy from the minors, but I think someone has to get sent down to do that and then be brought back up. The other part of me thinks that we have tried all the old baseball wisdom as far as managing and maybe thinking outside the box with White starting might be great and he'll win a game?
July 10, 200322 yr Let White go into the role he is finally developing Middle Relief. Have glover go a couple innings and then go to sanders both mop-up guys that dont't get much time. White,Marte,Gordon all are doing good. And Koch, well uhh, no comment.

July 11, 200322 yr Rick White starting? What the hell? This guy is just starting to find his rythm in the bullpen, and then JM trots him out there to start? This guy will last no more than 3 innings and our bullpen is gonna blow up. If they think every game counts (like they should), Josh Stewart should be pitching this game.
July 11, 200322 yr Yeah I think that is what will happen. White goes 3 innings Glover goes 3 innings and then our bull pen does the rest. Sounds kind of like a minor league operation, but as long as they don't get hammered it's not a bad thing to stretch them out a bit. However, what's the use of stretching them out as Manuel put it, if they go through 3 or 4 days of sitting during the break? I kind of hope we do bring up a minor league pitcher phenom and get to see a new face for one game.
