I'm sure everyone's clicking this to laugh and attack

But when you really sit back, we lost an MVP candidate, among other guys... and we're in it on the last day of the season.

If you can distance yourself from the last week (tough)... you'd have to say that if it happened to another division leader you might say "nice job not collapsing completely"

See avatar. I truly believe we're still going to win this. We're facing a pitcher tomorrow we have no business losing against, while KC is playing their hearts out up in Minny. End tomorrow a half-game up, and a win against Freddy "arm trouble" Garcia seals the division.

I might be drinking the Kool-Aid, but I'm going down with the ship.

When I first loaded this it showed The Riddler and I was trying to figure it out

Buehrle can hold Cleveland down, Perkins can be beaten by KC.

Buehrle's the only SP who has done well on limited rest.

I think this goes on until Tuesday. What happens then? I don't even want to venture a guess. I don't think God built the human mind to fully comprehend what it will be like for two sucks like the Twins and Sox on the same field in a single game playoff- I think they built a particle accelerator in France to find that out.

Getting swept up there? Fine. Most of us knew this was coming, but kind of like a kidney stone, until you pass it, it hurts. We passed it. Trouble is the Twins went on to lose two to KC and The Indians slapped our pitching staff silly in that same time. Neither game was even close! I tip my cap to the O for scoring a run or two, but what an abomination of a staff! You struggle for runs for weeks now and when you finally start scoring some (to make up some asanine defecit that the staff has already managed to put us in) a f***ing walk, bloop, dribbled single, before long it's none out, bases loaded. I hope they are ashamed of themselves.

I'm positive that this doesn't end tomorrow, fairly certain it goes past monday too. Reason being we've already lost 5 in a row. If both teams lose Sunday that will be 6. Monday, 7. That would be epic, and while I'm quite sure they have it in them to pull it off, surely they will take a long look in the mirror before then, right? It would be absolutely futile...

yall need to be positive in tough times my m8s, there is no need to be negative we must understand our team does not deserve to be in the playoffs, but god dam their is a spot open and we can walk into it!!

unification of the sox nation will lead to preservation of the playoff aspiration leading us to success among all else

Agreed! It's killing me seeing what has been happening these last 5 games. If the Sox go up....Great! I'll go "GA-GA!!!" If not, I'll watch them to the very end and go down with them. Obviously, it just hurts tremendously at the way that we are finishing, after so many months of hope! Right now, our hamburger is only cooked through on one side, It's time to flip it over and see if we are the ones that will be cookin'....or if we're the ones that will get "BURNED!" As of now....."Technically" we're still in it. Wierder unexpected things have happened in baseball. My thoughts as of April 1st of this year..............Season hasn't started, and we're done! Can you imagine what a tanked feeling we would have had if we started with an emotional high with Torii, Miggy, FuKu, Renteria, D-Train, and ended up like Detroit? We had a lot of nice surprises this year with long contracts to go with it "Q" "Cuban Missle" "Danks" "Floyd".

I know it's a sickening long shot...........................but we still have something to watch.....and it's game #161 for us. As Hawk would say..........."Who would-a thunk it?" Last Thought!!!!!! Right now, our performance is about as twisted as a contortionist is, and if he can get his head out of his rear end when he's in his position, then maybe we can too!

despite the utter disappointment that the twinkies series was im glad the sox are still relevant even if it is by the slimmest of margins. if you had told me back in april that we'd be competing for a division title in september i woulda laughed and pissed my pants. but here we are. i suppose it could be worse. i expected some resemblance to the 07 team. my baseball season essentially ended in july because i simply didnt care anymore. the 07 team was irrelevant to me. so as stinging and bitter these loses have been im glad its september and i still care. i know this hurts and it hurts bad but eventually this team will bounce back and we will live to someday raise another championship banner and even if it takes another 88 years i plan on sticking around and it'll be that much sweeter cuz of times like these.

We SHOULD win tomorrow. Even with everything that has happened, WE SHOULD win tomorrow. If that happens (and I think it will), let's see what we're playing for Monday. That's the only thing I can say that isn't negative (even though it's more reality than negativity at this point).
