January 30, 200917 yr http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/minorleagues/prospects/y2009/ Slightly different list than what was on ESPN
January 30, 200917 yr Wow they are f***ing retarded. Becks outhit pretty much everyone in AFL including people on that list. The real brains behind prospect lists have him in the 20's
January 30, 200917 yr Im sorry, knowing this guy personally through Chicago nightlife and now this: http://www.jeff-samardzija.com/index.asp He is such a douche
January 30, 200917 yr QUOTE (sircaffey @ Jan 30, 2009 -> 11:49 AM) I find 37-50 to be very questionable for the most part. I don't follow prospects very much but Samardzija at 50 seems very questionable to me. I remember everyone saying the Cubs reached even taking into account his questionable status due to football. Also, there's obviously reasons people could give, but in September he was awful, flat-out awful. http://www.baseball-reference.com/pi/pspli...1&year=2008
January 30, 200917 yr I think Samardzija being on the list is more ridiculous then any Sox omission from the list.
January 30, 200917 yr I wonder how many of you copy/pasted or read the mlb list there so that you could spell "Samardzija" correctly.
January 30, 200917 yr Wow, that is kind of questionable. Still wish we took Porcello. I remember being so pissed that we didn't and I still am.
January 31, 200917 yr QUOTE (bschmaranz @ Jan 30, 2009 -> 02:54 PM) I think Samardzija being on the list is more ridiculous then any Sox omission from the list. That's the reason the Cubs are always talked about trading s***ty prospects for great players. The media blows their prospects, even though they're garbage, and they get more in return.
January 31, 200917 yr QUOTE (knightni @ Jan 30, 2009 -> 04:48 PM) I wonder how many of you copy/pasted or read the mlb list there so that you could spell "Samardzija" correctly. I will admit that I did, I even tried to look at it, memorize it and spell it first and messed it up, and I have an excellent memory
January 31, 200917 yr I've always said that the only prospect list anyone should give a s*** about is BA. f*** Keith Law, MLB.com, and all this other s***. BA follows prospects more closely, talks to a lot more scouts, managers, etc. Plus it's the whole staff that makes the list not just one guy.
