Selected as pre-season third team All-American for 2005 by Baseball America ... projected by Baseball America as Big Ten Player of the Year and All-Big Ten 2B selection for 2005 …ranked as second best prospect in Big Ten in 2005 by Baseball America ...

 

During the 2005 season, ranked 3rd in the Big Ten in batting average (.386), 2nd in hits (88), and 2nd in stolen bases (29).

 

Named 2005 NCAA Division I District V Player of the Year as selected by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association ... named All-Big Ten First Team 2B for second straight season ... named to all-tournament team at Big Ten Championship for second straight year as he hit .533 (8-for-15) with three doubles ... hit .567 (17-for-30) in two Big Ten Tournaments with four 3-hit games and seven-game hit streak ... named winner of the Bill Freehan Award as the top offensive player on the 2005 UM baseball team.

 

Career Starts 169 (2B-159, SS-9, DH-1)... has 67 career multi-hit games (27 3-hit games, three 4-hit games) ... has 51 multi-hit games at U-M (23 3-hit games, two 4-hit games) ... has hits in 85 of last 100 games ... has hits in 53 of 62 Big Ten games in career.
