Yes, Corky is awful. He gives us nothing offensively in the games he plays in. Considering we seem to be trying to rest AJP against any LHP we face, it's important we boost our LHP offense.

I'd love to get Castro. He'd be an ideal backup catcher. He has always mashed left handed pitching, and he's pretty solid behind the plate with, IIRC, a cannon or close to it for an arm.

Give them someone like McCullough for him.

How about instead of assuming that salary we put that money into the draft coming up...

 

Corky is fine. As long as the pitchers like throwing to him then that's all that matters.

 

Now if we're talking about swapping Castro for Betemit plus a halfway decent prospect then I'd do that. Actually, Betemit playing 1B today, maybe someone else is watching? With Delgado out it's not all that bad of an idea.
