Perfect time to steal third with Pods. Lefty on the mound, righty in the box.

Podsednik with a solid 1 out double to the warning track.

Alexei seems to be hitting a ton of weak balls to right field these days. It's almost the opposite from how he was the first 30 games.

I love pods more now since he signed with us than I ever did before. i was never really a fan of his.

Beckham watch: 3-3, 2 2Bs.

A little Gordon Beckham update. 3-3 with 2 doubles tonight. He is now hitting .500

that is great but did he have any errors (the most important stat) cause we know the kid can flat out rake already. He had three in his first three games.

Stoney's always great about asking hawk questions when it comes to hitting. Would it kill him to ask a question once in awhile of a Cy Young winner?

Crosby hits the first pitch of the inning out. 3-2 A's.

We're letting all their bums beat us tonight.

Landon Powell hits the 2nd pitch of the inning out as well. 4-2 A's.

Wow, Clayton just doesn't have it. I'm already less than impressed with Castro's pitch selection.

None so far.

They are jumping on his first ball fastball right down the middle pretty easily.

His errors have been on throws. Remember Konerko is pretty damn good at scooping the ball.

I hate Oakland and their stupid white shoes.

This is disgusting how the As are outplaying us -- at home no less.

The Athletics read the scouting report.

We're just not putting up enough offense at home. That .219 batting average coming into the game is one of the craziest stats ever.

I know especially with all the time he has had to work with Clayton.

both BOS and MIN losing tonight, too. f***.

Good point, didn't think of that

Um those hr's werent the catchers fault.

Pitches that are located in those spots are going to get hit hard, the second batter Castro tapped the ground which generally means that the catcher wants the ball down. Clayton's location missed high...

I really doubt that he called for back to back meatballs.

I think Richard could be a good #4/#5 starter in the AL. With that said, people here are seriously overrating him if they wouldn't include him in a trade for an All-Star pitcher in his prime.

Fields seeing this pitcher nicely. Do something BA!
