Vicente Padilla has swine flu

According to Jamey Newberg of the Newberg Report, Texas right-hander Vicente Padilla has been diagnosed with swine flu.

Padilla was scratched from a scheduled start Wednesday with flu-like symptoms, but this is obviously much more serious than the Rangers could have expected. If he has been around the clubhouse recently, which he probably has, teammates and staff members may have also contracted the virus. Tests are probably being run as we speak. He's still scheduled to start Tuesday against the Tigers, but that could soon change.

That is kinda scary for the Rangers. Hopefully, the rest of the team is alright.

Unless the rest of the team is made up of infants and senior citizens they'll be alright.

Confirms what I've always thought of him.

Got it from drinking tainted blood?

Swine flu by and large has affected the healthy and moderately aged more than most groups. It has been odd in that respect.
