Just saw the replay on that out at home, on the throw from Crede. That was one of the best tag plays I have ever seen by a catcher. Big time play.

Stellar throw by Crede, right there.

That was awesome or as Harold Reynolds would say LUCK.

Neyer did say we need some LADY LUCK. :headbang

Screwball

Speaking of great throws, the one Maggs made from RF foul territory against Cleveland was awesome.... even if it was a shade too late. That was impressive!

Guys, fact is...this team is 3rd in the league in defense...I woulda never thought that could happen.

really?????????

are you serious, wow. that is a huge improvement.

:headbang 3rd in the league in fielding percentage, I'm not sure about overall defense though. THere has been a large improvement over the past few seasons.

We've definitely been a lot more solid defensively this year than in years past. It's been good to see that.

I'll never forgot some of the pitching staffs the Sox had and just how bad they were at fielding. Every grounder up the middle was a challenge.

how many errors does jose v has>

12 errors, i think what was missing the offense and they are appearing since the AS break.

12 errors? Wow. 101 games into the season, that's not bad at all. We should be able to live with that from StJosE6, shouldn't we?

Yes, if he brings a little bit more of offense....he is being too much streaky.

Valentin's always been streaky. He'll get on a hot streak when we need it the most.

I may not be right, but I'm optimistic. :D

.he is being too much streaky.

which why he remains St JosE6 until the season stats are in.

Back to Sandy. I saw the replay again -- the tag at the plate. A lot of big league catchers would not have been close to making that play, and I'm afraid that includes young Mr. Kendall from the Pirates.

Wow I havent heard much complaining about the defense at all lately. Seems to me like our defensive woes are now slim to none, I'm sure not having DLo has a big part in that. :headbang
