Have a look at the newest edition of Charlie Papazian's New Complete Joy of Homebrewing and go from there. Do not under any circumstances bother with a Mr. Beer r a Beer Machine or any of those other cr@p turnkey sets — especially the ones that suggest you don't even need to boil the wort. If you have a decent homebrew shop by you they will set you up beautifully with everything you need to get started. If not, I'll send you my online recommendations.

Like that plan a lot and you guys can spec out a brew works together that way. I started homebrewing in a college dorm and it was a miserable experience, trying to boil wort on hot plates and in hot pots. . . aarrgghh!

 

My theory is to leave it to the experts.
