Unless I'm mistaken, the last time they tried a slipstream drive Voyager wound up crash-landing on a planet and being encased in ice.

Voyager's cr@ppy 24th century technology wasn't up to the task.

Eno's incidental music was good, and Sting was a good Feyd Rautha, and Brad Dourif was an excellent mentant Piter De Vries, but yeah, all-in-all, Lynch's version doesn't do Frank Herbert's phenomenal book justice
