I hate the production on Cities of the Underworld. The guy thinks everything is the most amazing thing ever, the music is overly dramatic and some of the camera work is annoying.

Meh, the guy's into it. I know if I got to go and see of the stuff he does I'd be pretty mesmerized and awe too.

Good call. We had a whole thread about that on SoxTalk when it happened - the Trib did a nice set of pieces chronicling that cat's journey.

So since you guys are on the subject, earlier today I was looking at Planet Earth on Blu-Ray and wondering if I should get it - I was on the fence but now I think I'll do it. Anyone watched The Universe? I'm really into that kind of stuff.

LMAO. This thread is just irrelevant now.

lol. It was actually a good discussion. I happen to like the hijacking it took.

Those documentary series have lots of colors and sharp detail and they look amazing in HD.

These documentaries help people get over their false beliefs and confirmation biases.

Definitely do it.

Also, Richard Attenborough (sp?) may be the only man on earth who can sound elegant saying "the Wild Ass".

I think the BBC versions are supposed to have more footage, FYI.

Also, I love that I can stream Blue Planet through my Xbox via Netflix in HD.
