It's The Last One!!!!! Game Thread 9-2-09

Featured Replies

This thread should be an instant classic.

The reactions when Konerko hit that home run and when Alexei got the RBI single were just classic.

This game was classic. Glad we don't have anymore games to play in that place. I went crazy when Paulie hit his homer.

Great way to say goodbye to the Hump

I can't believe i missed this game for classes. I gotta get my priorities straight

Remember that time we beat the Twins by scoring 4 runs with two out in the top of the 9th in the last ever game in the Metrodome?

That was awesome.

Remember the last time we came back against Joe Nathan?

I sure as hell don't.

Late in 2006 JD launched a game tying HR off of him in the 9th and pumped his fist running around the bases. The Sox lost the game in 12. It pretty much encapsulated their season.

I seriously the air conditioner was going to keep PKs tater in play

Don't you find it weird that Span always runs all the way to the fence and then sometimes comes back towards the infield to catch our fly balls to the warning track in the late innings?

It happened to Dye last night and it happened to Fields too.

It will be nice once they have their open air stadium... no more air conditioner... although it will be cold as a mofo in the early part of the season.

No it won't. It's not cold at all when you never come in because of the snowstorm and you stay trapped in your hotel.

Did anyone notice PK14's comment today about how balls tend to die out there in late innings for some reason? I loved that. You just know what he's talking about there.
