Wise Master Buehrle
Even though we used Marte and Gordon to the fullest extent tonight, we really don't have to worry. We have the Devil Rays coming to town, and how many of you actually think the Rays would sweep us AGAIN? In our own stadium. I sure don't. Especially since we're picking up more and more momentum, it just keeps adding up with excellent wins. Bottom line, we'll have Gordon and Marte fit and ready for KC and Seattle. Rick White can take care of the Rays, and if need be, we'll use a different reliever, Koch, perhaps, this could be another attempt to get himself together, if we score enough runs, fine, put Koch in, he couldn't possibly blow a 8-2 lead, or something like that. Edit: I didn't realize I pretty much assumed the Sox won tonight, it isn't over yet, but with White in I think we'll do fine.
Chisoxfn
Sox have to play good baseball, they do that and I'm confident they will win, but don't take anything for granted.

The D-Rays didn't sweep us the first time and we had momentum going into Tampa Bay after sweeping Minnesota and we still lost 2 out of 3. That's why the games are played on the field..... not on paper. Take 1 game at a time.

As happy as we are, we realize this team has been maddening much of the season. While I would expect we'd get even with the Devil Rays, I'd take nothing for granted. Hell yes they could sweep us again. I will make that statement for good luck, to nullify your bad luck statement that we are sure to sweep them. YASNY
We can't let up against these guys this time. We need to kick some but and go into the KC series hot. Then sweep those mf'er's.
Joel
I think we should give Koch the save chance if there is one on Today or tommorow. Yes I know I will get killed for saying this but, look at it this way. I think Koch would love to be able to get his 1st chance at another save against the team that took him out of his job. So he will be pumped to be in there especially since its at home against the home fans who have given him so much grief. Plus I think with him wanting to prove to Jerry that he can still save games I just think this would be a very smart thing to do. Because if we can get him going then we would have 4 guys who can both save a game and pitch well out of the bullpen.
Jim Fainter
Joel, Koch doesn't have some psycological problem where he needs to be pumped up, and it wasn't the Rays that cost him his role. His problem is that he does not have big league stuff any more, and he comes in late in a tight game, those hitters are are concentrating and doing their very best to hit the ball really hard. Koch is now overmatched because he doesn't have the same stuff he used to have. We need to win these three games and can't be experimenting with Koch. I have no solution or suggestion for Koch, other than to put him on the DL to see if there is a physical problem.

Especially if we have a save chance with a 3 run lead, it would be a perfect time for him to come in.
whitesox247
We all know what happened last time Koch was in Tampa. A team on a 20 game losing streak can beat a team on a 20 game winning streak anyday. This has been an amazing run so far, lets not ruin it because we think we would just breeze through the DRAys. Like Jason said, no more taking things for granted.

And he would love to do it against the team that cost him his job. I'm not saying let him do it with a 1 or 2 run league but if there is a 3 run league. CWSOX45
There are two things Jerry needs to focus on for this series. 1 Win. (duh.) 2. Get guys like Glover and Sanders in there so they can get used to pitching in game type situations again. We can't go on only using Gordon and Marte for the rest of the season.
