joeynach
If the sox could sign any one of the above mentioned relievers to strengthen the bullpen for next year who do you want?
knightni
Gonzalez, because he's a lefty.
SoxAce
Its a pretty safe bet that Bob Howry will never wear a sox uni again, although if I remember correctly, it was Eyre who had more problems with the org though. I could be mixing those two up since it's 4:30ish am here.
simba43
lyon because could be a closer maybe you can get him as a setup man price and he is pretty good and not injury prone . so that means the sox won't even offer him a contract . Jordan4life_2007
Well the three best relievers on that list are easily Verlarde, Soriano and Gonzalez. I've had a man-crush on Soriano since about 2003. Gonzalez would fit a specific need in that he's a quality lefty. Valverde has been one of the top 5 or 6 closers in baseball the last 3 seasons. If I had a choice, I'd want Valverde.

If I had a choice, I'd want Valverde. With our pick protected, and the market for Valverde and Soriano (I love Soriano as well) apparently dry, the best move might be to sign one of these guys to a 2-3 year deal and move Jenks to a team without a protected pick looking for a closer for whatever you can get. Kalapse
Well the offers Soriano received must have been pretty unimpressive because he accepted the Braves' offer of arbitration and is looking at $7M+ in 2010.
