Anybody know the list of the 16 players the White Sox agreed to contracts with yesterday? I want to know in case I need to update the big board.

It's the rest of the 40 man roster, those who are still in their pre-arb years. According to Cowley they were all signed, that's 18 players. It's basically a formality though Josh Fields seemed to enjoy fighting it even though he had no real power.

"Fight" is the wrong word but back in 2008 he declined the White Sox 1 year offer while 21 or so other guys accepted, it just meant the Sox would tender him a deal a few days later. He called it posturing for future contracts, Jeff Berry was of the belief that if he declined the initial offer it would help Josh in arbitration some 3 years down the road. The thing is, the player has no real say in the matter, if the Sox want to tender him a contract he has to accept it by a certain deadline and he eventually did. It was a bigger story at the time than it should have been, in the end it truly meant nothing but it's the sort of oddity that I've only seen out of Jeff Berry, I believe he did the same thing with Buehrle.
