July 30, 200322 yr In today's Cub game Mordeci Alfonseca came in to pitch the 8th and 9th innings, and gave up a run in each inning. Baker took him out with two outs in the 9th. The crowd booed him both on the way in and on the way out. One of the announcers said that there has been some banter between Baker and the fans for all the booing. First I heard of it. Have you guys in the big city heard much about Baker's complaining about the booing? Tks.
July 30, 200322 yr Dusty was blaming the Cubs losing at home to negative fans and media. He doesn't get blasted because most of the media think he is the second coming.
July 30, 200322 yr Baker said it was one of the reasons that the Cubs were playing so bad at home, and asked that the fans not boo or b**** at Cubs players in the bullpen. He also blamed the fact that they dont have days off before they play and a variety of other things that have nothing to do with the fact that their bullpen sucks. SB
