Minnesota Trip

Featured Replies

Alright, I'm going up to Minnesota this weekend and will be going to the game on Friday. Anyone else making the trip up? Any suggestions for things to do before and after the game? :gosox3:

I might be going to game either Saturday or Sunday. Most likely Sunday. I still have to get tickets, are they likely to sell out?

Obviously, Mall of America, and I forget the name, but there's a great restaurant outside of Target Center where the Timberwolves play. Check it out.

Already sold out I believe. I got mine for 80 a piece.

Tomorrow there is a chance I'm going to be there.

Kieran's Irish Pub is across the street from the Target Center and is a solid place to eat. Other than that, the Loon Cafe is down the block and is an excellent place to eat.

I swear by The Local when I am in downtown Minny.

I'm going to be there for the Saturday and Sunday games, though it's standing room only tickets ($25 for Sat and $22 for Sun on the Twins site, plus service charges). We're staying at the Travelodge in Bloomington, which is supposedly a mile away from the Mall of America. There is apparently a shuttle bus that runs from the MoA to Target Field that costs $3.50 and the voucher is good for 6 hours. If anyone wants to meet up before or during either game, let me know and we exchange info via PM.

Also, there's apparently a traffic advisory out for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so plan your transportation accordingly. A freeway is out or something.

Minneapolis has a great music scene.

Lots of clubs with great bands.
