July 23, 201015 yr Now greg can stop obsessing over whether or not KW will massively overpay for DeJesus. I'm actually a little bummed. I wouldn't have minded him for the right price.

I wouldn't have minded him for the right price. Now they're saying it may not be broken. But he jammed it hard ala Griffey when he broke his wrist at the KingDome.
July 23, 201015 yr X-rays were negative, it's a sprained thumb. They did say he's out for the rest of the Yankees' series though...

July 23, 201015 yr I hope Alex Gordon uses this chance to kick some ass. At least until the Royals get Frenchy and bat him before Betancourt.
July 23, 201015 yr Am I going to get tarred and feathered if I don't like Alex Gordon that much? Sure, his splits are great - .315/.442/.577/1.019 - but he's striking out 22.4% of the time and, thus, that .315 average is inflated by a .389 BABIP. He obviously needs a chance to play, but I think he looks a hell of a lot more like Dallas McPherson than Ryan Zimmerman.

Gordon was a decent major leaguer in 07 and 08 (he produced 4.4 WAR in this time). McPhereson did nothing even close to what Gordon did in those two years. He hit fairly well at a premium position and played acceptable defense there. Sure, he has more potential than that, but at least his production was acceptable.
