using soxtalk with driods

Featured Replies

Do any of you have trouble with soxtalk freezing up with a driod?

It's the only damn site that messes up on me, go figure. Just wondered if you all have the same issue.

Is a freeze related to your spellunk of Driod?

Probably.

I'm leaving it cause it's funny.

I thought it was "Droid", not "Driod."

Not with the droid, but with my Windows 7 netbook. It seems to be related to the scoreboard at the top of the pages. What's weird is that it doesn't happen on my Samsung phone, my Windows 7 machine at work or my Windows XP desktop at home.

I just changed out the default skin so when you log onto the page for the first time, the scoreboard isn't there. It ALMOST loaded, and got to the bottom of the page, and it told me I had to force close the page. Which is interesting, because with the scoreboard, it froze to where I had to take the battery out to reset the phone.

Anyway, weirdness and aggravating.

yep, still freezing sometimes on my netbook even with the new skin. Before I'd get a "shockwave has crashed" type message, but I don't any more. Just freezes up.

which one? 2.1 or 2.2? I guess 2.2 (Froyo) is getting ready to be released this week for those that have 2.1. It's an over the air update.

Same here... Haven't had any issues with Soxtalk on my EVO.

Hmmm. What browser? The one that comes with the phone?

I was also thinking that it might have something to do with flash...

Now, the phone just shuts the browser down.

I might try loading opera on it and see if it loads.

I have a Droid Incredible, with the shipped OS (No idea what version level). Sometimes as its just finishing loading, the browser just closes on its own. Other times, it works fine.

Using the stock browser? I suggest the Dolphin HD browser.

Yes, stock browser. Never heard of Dolphin HD - is that free on the market? And what is better about it?

I have the Droid Incredible. It usually causes my phone to freeze, so I stopped even trying anymore.

I just downloaded dolphin and it works perfectly... thank you, bs!

Hey Kap. I ran into the same problem with the stock OS. I use Skyfire which you can download off the market. I believe I tried Opera as well and it loaded easily.

Can't wait for Froyo. I've heard great things about improved battery life and overall performance.
