To the idiot Sox fan

Claiming that the Sox were going to fire JM because he's black and that's why we criticize him and ALSO claiming that this guy is the best Sox manager since the 1950's...

You've gotta be kidding me. I'll give JM a break for now since the team is playing better, but no Sox fan can honestly say this is our best manger since the 50's. That caller must have been a crack head.

Since its under debate as to whether JM even has a pulse at times, please save the best manager ever comments on the radio, you're wasting air time. And the race issue is not a factor. I'm sure black, white, yellow, green and blue Sox fans would agree that earlier in the season JM was doing a terrible job.

Race doesn't matter.

I was one hoping we'd can him earlier when all of our players were hitting .220 it seemed and all we did was lose.

But JM appears to be doing well and as of now, some of Kenny's acquisitions have really appeared to help us.

If we keep winning, none of us are gonna want JM gone.

i wasn't offended,

the guy who called has issues and they were unfounded. the affermative action so to speak that jr has done speaks for himself.

i believe that the guy who called is a racist, maybe he was black, or a ScubS fans trying to cause trouble.

either way i was not offended.

peace.

well Im glad nowone was offended...... however, this is a bad idea to even start talking about it, this is where trouble starts.

What's wrong with stating the truth that it was a black guy who dont like white people? I didnt even hear the call, but i'm willing to bet it wasnt a white guy saying they're gonna fire jerry because he's black.

Funny part about that call is, if this guy knew ANYTHING about Riensdorf, he would know that he's big on afirmative action and also has a black gm.

Dead issue.

I just think he meant he was upset and defending JM too much cuz he was black. That stuff is known to happen. In this case, i believe its true. I dont think cks comments were meant to be racial at all.

Exactly, but the worst part of the call was the guy saying that JM is a good manager.

Are you kidding me?

This guy is far from a good manager. Solid manager, perhaps. Good manager, hell no.

I didn't mean anything racist by my comment. Just that there is a guy that calls Dave Wills Sox Post, almost weekly, who's black (he admitted it to Wills at one point) and claims all of this racial bogotry in the White Sox Organization with nothing substantial to back up his claims other than Baseball's Heirarchy is white. If people were offended, I'm sorry. No offense was meant. It just sounded like comments you'd typically hear from a black racist. That's all.

I still belive this team won in spite of him in 2000. If this team keeps hitting like this, even jerry cant screw it up. Unless Koch comes in.

AGree 100 percent.

i was and still am a supporter of jm as you all may know, not b/c he is a person of color, but he is a nice guy well liked. maybe not from white and others on this board.

i want to see nice people make it, does anyone remember some of the things that was said about him when he was hired.

he was the players point man even as a coach to talk to managment. you got to love that.

is he a great manager, no and as others have said and i have said in lean times, he is an ok manager. he has the make up for a coach better than he does as a manager.

Jerry is a real nice guy, but that wont get you past the 1st round of the playoffs. Dont have to be an ass kicker, i just want a manager who dont get high in the dugout.

that in itself show the state of his mind.

ummm tony larussa comes to mind.

kw comes to mind. :headbang

Manuel best the last 50 years? LOL!! I guess Al Lopez and Tony larussa nevr managed the sox

I think JM's ability to not let his boat get rocked - nor the teams' - and his teams ability to rebound rather than fall apart - have paid off big time thus far this season, and the rebound began in a very timely fashion -

the heat needs to continue in Seattle -

Go Sox! :headbang
