Bad Timing Rios....

Featured Replies

Ugh, I love what Rios has done this season for the most part, its been a great, and rather expected turn around from last year. However, right now our #3 hitter is killing us just when we need him the most. Hes been great all year, but his recent slump is so bad in terms of timing. He is 16 for his last 69 AB's, thats a .231 hitter, 8 RBI, 10K, and hit into 5 DP. I hope he comes out of it soon, he still looks at little lost at the plate. I have defiantly noticed a lot of swinging at pitches out of the zone or in the dirt. Has anyone noticed anything different? Is it his swing, is he getting tired, has the league adjusted?

Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.

Blah blah blah, blah blah.

Blah blah blah - blah blah, blah!!

Blah... Blah.

Doesn't Rios still have a wrist issue or something like that?

He has said that yes, that he is going to just have to play through it. But then a few weeks ago he started hitting the ball hard again for a few games, only to fall back into this pattern of hitting weak choppers to the left side. Hit that ball to the opposite field hard today though, so maybe he is starting to feel better about it.

We could write your response to any post. Guess this topic didn't interest you. He brought up some good points and asked a few reasonable questions. Rios is off limits of criticism to many. I applaud Fathom for ripping him regularly of late.

Isn't an annual second half fade a big part of Toronto fans' being glad to see Rios go (aside from the ridiculous contract)?

at least he woke up though and got the triple today. Though after that he took an 0-fer his last four at bats.

While still an indication of wearing down thats still nite and day compared to Dye's 1st and 2nd half splits from last year.
